Sole Marketing

Privacy policy

Last updated 5 October 2026

This explains what information Ziggyzee, the marketing mentor app from Sole Marketing, collects about you, why, who helps us run it, and the choices you have. We never sell your information and we don't show you adverts.

Who we are

Sole Marketing ("we", "us") runs Ziggyzee and is responsible for your information under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). If you have any question about your information, email hello@solemarketing.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Your account: your name, email address, password (stored scrambled, so we can't read it), time zone and which plan you're on. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
  • Your business details: what you tell us during setup and on Your business, such as what you sell, who your customers are, where you work, your goals, budget, time available and the marketing you already do. If you give us your website or a competitor's website, we read the public pages to understand your business.
  • Your chats with Ziggyzee: the messages you send and Ziggyzee's replies.
  • Your tasks and progress: the actions Ziggyzee suggests, drafts you write, what you finish and your weekly reviews.
  • Files you upload: documents and images you add to your Library, and the summaries we make of them.
  • Payments: when you subscribe, Stripe handles your card. We never see or store your full card number; we only keep a reference to your Stripe customer and subscription.
  • Usage and safety: how many messages you send each day (to apply plan limits), and short extracts of a chat if our safety checks flag it.
  • Trying Ziggyzee without an account: if you chat before signing up, that conversation is kept in your own browser, not on our servers, although the messages are still sent to our AI provider to get a reply.

How we use it, and why we're allowed to

  • To run Ziggyzee for you: giving advice that fits your business, creating your tasks, remembering your progress and sending account emails such as sign-up confirmations and password resets. We do this because it's needed for our agreement with you.
  • To keep Ziggyzee safe and working: spotting misuse, fixing problems and preventing fraud. This is in our legitimate interests and yours.
  • To improve Ziggyzee: looking at how the app is used (for example, which tasks people finish) so we can make it more useful. This is in our legitimate interests. We don't use your chats or files to train AI models.
  • To take payments and keep records that the law requires, such as invoices.
  • To send you updates: occasional news or reminders about your tasks. You can turn these off at any time.

How Ziggyzee's AI uses your information

Ziggyzee's replies are written by an AI model from Anthropic (Claude). When you send a message, we send it to Anthropic along with your business details and recent chat so the reply fits you. We also send some text to OpenAI to find the most relevant marketing advice from our knowledge library. Under their business terms, Anthropic and OpenAI don't use this information to train their models.

A small number of Sole Marketing staff can see account information and chats when it's needed for support, safety checks or fixing a problem.

Who helps us run Ziggyzee

We use these providers to run the app. They only use your information to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase: stores your account, business details, chats, tasks and files, and handles sign-in.
  • Vercel: hosts the app.
  • Anthropic: writes Ziggyzee's replies and summarises files you upload.
  • OpenAI: helps find relevant advice from our knowledge library.
  • Stripe: takes payments.
  • Resend: sends account emails.
  • Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Some of these providers process information outside the UK, including in the United States. When they do, they protect it with safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge.

We'd only share your information with anyone else if the law requires it, or if Sole Marketing or Ziggyzee were sold, in which case the new owner would have to protect it in the same way.

How long we keep it

  • While your account is open, we keep your information so Ziggyzee can keep helping you.
  • If you ask us to close your account, we delete your information within 30 days, apart from payment records, which the law requires us to keep for up to 6 years.
  • Safety flags are kept for up to 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your information
  • correct anything that's wrong (you can also edit most of it yourself in the app)
  • delete your information
  • stop or limit how we use it, or object to us using it
  • send your information to you or another service in a common format

Email hello@solemarketing.co.uk and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, but we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Cookies and your browser

We only use cookies that Ziggyzee needs to work: they keep you signed in and secure. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, so we don't ask you to accept them.

We also save a few small things in your browser, such as a chat you started before signing up and whether you've closed a tip, so the app remembers them next time. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Keeping it safe

Your information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access controls, so only you can see your own business details, chats, tasks and files in the app. No system is perfectly secure, but if something ever went wrong that put your information at risk, we'd tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

Age

Ziggyzee is for business owners and is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and its date. If the change is important, we'll tell you by email or in the app first.
